The main purpose of these guides is to involve the reader personally into first hand Bible text and lead the reader into personal applicable reflection. Both are conservative treatments, generally dispensational, but representing other points of view as well. Both include extended bibliographies as well as suggestions for the various Bible study methods and can be used for individual or group study.

The Old Testament Survey book includes: preparation for study sections, historical and geographical background of each book, subjects and themes, key words and verses, applications to life, further study guides, selected readings for further study, 25 black and white maps, and 119 charts.
